Did anyone else attend today? We had an excellent time learning more about Trinity. The weather could not have been better so the campus was gorgeous. Between us we attended three classes - two English and a Guided Studies course. The turnout was larger than I think they expected. The Q&A (one session for the kids; another for the parents) was very informative and the faculty/administration was quite accessible. I really enjoyed the President's opening remarks. He is a great speaker. Other thoughts/comments?

would've attended if i didn't live halfway around the globe!

anyway, anything in particular you'd like to share? did you check out the dorms?

I did not. My D did and she said she visited a dorm of someone who said he lived in the worse dorm - rated D or something - but she thought it was fine. Sorry I can't help more on that.

anyone else who want to share??

I attended the VIP session on Monday and thought that it was a good experience. It did not, however, convince me that Trinity was the right place for me to attend this fall. I am worried about the surrounding area in terms of safety and I do not like the city of Hartford very much. The student panel was a good experience that allowed me to see some Trinity students. It was interesting to hear them speak and hear some of them actually comment poorly on the college. That surprised me. I attended one class during the day and was surprised to see it was a large lecture course, especially because it wasn't a first-level course. I am much more interested in a school with more seminar-style courses and after talking with students I do not feel that Trinity is the school where this will happen.

The best part of the day was when I talked to a football player outside on South Campus. He told me, "Tell your parents to send you here [Trinity] if they want you to have the biggest party of your life."

I have mixed feelings.
