Im looking to go into engineering. What are my chances to get into ether program.

Anyone willing to speak for or against either school or offer alternatives?

I don’t know if either school has minimum test scores for admittance into engineering.

Both are good schools for engineering. I don’t think anyone would say anything bad about either one.

However, you’re out of state for both. If you can’t pay for these schools, then neither will be affordable since they don’t give need-based aid to cover their high out of state costs.

So…how much will your parents pay each year?

My final 2 choices for engineering came down to both schools. I picked Clemson but it was a close call and I can see how people can pick Virginia Tech as it’s a fantastic school (visited both schools and loved both of them so it was a tough choice that came down to 4 hours before I had to make a decision).

Your SAT score is in range right now for Clemson though you are on the low side so try and get that up a bit. I have no idea what a 4.0/4.8 GPA is but you should have at least a A-/B+ average.

Let me know if you have any questions about Clemson! (or VT too though I probably don’t know as much)
