Visiting a kid in New England this winter & not a skier?

Here are some starter ideas on your options--and they're fairly slim. Welcome ideas from others with successful experiences:

There were several ideas in this thread, most farther inland:

Thanks, 7. I should have recalled this string. I have every respect for families whose teen would tolerate–much less enjoy–a wall drawing retrospective in the Berkshires over a long winter weekend. I’ll be looking for something more pedestrian, but I’ll be darned if I can put my finger on just what right now. Cheers

I don’t know where you’re starting from but there is an indoor water park in Lake George,NY. It’s called The Great Escape Lodge and you get admittance to the park by staying at the hotel. It might be just what you’re looking for. You get to wear a bathing suit in February without traveling south. The drive could be worth it since you’ll have to stay in a hotel anyway. I’ve never been, but won’t be able to resist my kids’ pleas much longer. :)

Sorry . . . but I’m a bit confused. What’s all this talk about snow & skiing? We haven’t seen either this winter! Heck, you could have worn a bathing suit *today[/] and not had to travel south to do it!

You all must be thinking of a different New England . . . :p

@Klements: Well, compared to the Durer etchings show, the wall drawings were downright accessible! ;-)
