visiting colleges...what?

I'm planning a visit to Brown University this weekend, and I was wondering if there were any "top" schools around that area that I might've left out?

(and within reason for a weekend visit..Google claims that Boston U is only an hour away?!)

Tufts, Boston College

Providence is very close to Boston... you could do any Boston area college.

Yep. Or you could go west and do Hartford/New Haven schools like Trinity, Wesleyan, Connecticut College, and Yale.

Wheaton is about 20 minutes east of Providence, but I absolutely loathed it and don't recommend it whatsoever. For Greater Boston schools, you have Tufts, Boston College, Wellesley, Harvard, MIT, Brandeis, Boston University, Emerson, Simmons, Suffolk, Babson, and many others.

If you're interested in the Five Colleges, Northampton's not too far. You could also head to Worcester and see Holy Cross, Clark, WPI, or any of their local colleges.

Obviously you can't go in every direction, but wherever you go, you have lots of options. :)

Tufts, Wesleyan, Holy Cross, Brandeis are some very good schools.

Not so much Holy Cross...haha just kidding par.

NYC is a bit on the far side, maybe a few hours by car, but a visit to Columbia, in my opinion, would be worth it
