visiting in summer?

I'll be visiting hamilton in two weeks... as in before the school year starts... will anyone even be there? What should I look around for to get an actual idea of life at Hamilon college? Any other tips?

We visited on a summer day mid-week and the day we were there the campus was dead. I do not know if there is any summer school type stuff going on but nothing was going on when we were there. FYI, the campus is pretty small but BEAUTIFUL … with the main buildings being classic stone college buidlings with a very nice main quad.

PS - we’re visiting during the summer due to conflicts with sports during the school year … personally I think visiting during the year when you can see the students on campus is a much preferable time to visit if it can be arranged. For my son we’re trying to get to a short list during the summer so we can sneak some return trips around his sports during the school year next year to see if he can see himself hanging with the kids on campus.

I’ll be visiting next June or July. Can’t wait!

freshman orientation starts august 21

Since orientation starts the 21st, there will actually be quite a few people on campus. Orientation leaders have to get back early to train (I think they arrive the 16th or so), plus plenty of people are back for other types of training and summer research. Hopefully this will allow you to get some sense of what campus life is like. There are almost always people in dining halls so try to drop in there if you want to interact with current students. Also, now that there is a new student center, I’m sure you’ll run into plenty of people exploring there.

Oh wow. I’ll be there on the 20th. Still people? Or is one day to early a difference. Lol thanks all

Oh, you said that people would be there. Sorry, I sped read!
