I live around Yale and you have to experience Wooster St. pizza nearby. Sally's (my favorite) and Pepe's are suberb! Many famous people stop in visiting and come back again and again. Also there are so many good ethnic restaurants around the college. Besides the Peabody M. which someone mentioned, there is the Yale Art Gallery and British Art Museum and the rare book library, among other smaller ones. I don't find the area scary at all, but I'm careful at night as I would be anywhere.

yale's tour showcases only the nicest residential colleges, and not, for example, morse and stiles.

Morse & Stiles do not have beautiful Gothic architecture.
But they have some real advantages including very convenient locations:
- across the street from the Gym.
- adjacent (from the back gates) to the Yale Bookstore, a huge 3-level B&N bookstore with many great reading areas.

There are also many single rooms: large with walk-in closet!

Also, as tacky as it can be, Randy's is really good, and Randy himself is a big philanthropist who has helped me tremendously with one of the charity events I'm on the planning committee for.
