Hey guys, I'll be a freshman at Bowdoin next year, and I recently became cognitive of the "j-terms/jan plans" that schools like midd and colby offer - but not bowdoin. (i remember hearing about it on the tours and brushing it off assuming all schools had it) i think it's a fantastic idea and i was wondering if anyone knew if visiting students are able to take classes at colby during j-term?

any input at all would be appreciated thanks guys! :)

What do you mean by visiting students? Are you planning to take January off at Bowdoin? I am not sure that this is allowed. Most courses are filled to capacity, so I doubt the registrar could find a seat for a non-Colby student. How would you take a month off from Bowdoin?

we dont have school throughout jan!

I guess it might be possible, but I doubt you would get a room in a dorm. So if they let you do it, you would have to pay for the class and also find your own housing. I think some people from town audit the classes but they are not getting any college credit to my knowledge. Contact the registrars office.
