It’s actually anything you want it to be on a 2D surface. I took VIS1 and I NEVER once touched a paintbrush. You can honestly survive on colored pencils.

Hm, I dont draw… I like to color tho. He-he!
How about MUS 4, do we just listen to music? How do they ‘test’ this course? My frnd thot the exam questions would be about music history…

When I took Vis1, the weekly assignments/final project were REALLY open-ended. You could essentially use any object/technique you wanted. For my final project, I took three wooden pallets and painted them different colors. Somebody else took dozens of golf balls and hung them from the ceiling. Another student cut out strips of paper and arranged them on a wall in an intricate design. Someone else did a video project. So, it’s ok if you can’t paint/draw… you just need to be really creative. You can paint, sculpt, sketch, whatever. They did teach some drawing techniques, but we didn’t have to use those techniques on any graded assignments.

Wow. Thanks! It sounds like a very enjoyable course.
And how were the exams like?

i saw someone walking around campus with a 3 foot orb of hair

T_T

Wow, i m beginning to like Vis arts 1. Ha-ha!
