Viva AP Italian!

AP Italian -- who's ready?

I wish my school had Italian. If it did, I'd probably get a 5 on the AP exam. No, I don't know Italian, but I'm 1/4 Italian and actually want to learn the language. But no, I'm doomed to Spanish. I have no hope for the exam...

The language education at my school is such a joke that all of the French students are certain they'll get ones...Last year, no one in AP French got more than a 1. The new French teacher this year is even worse, I hear. During the oral part, some of them just want to sing songs into the recorders...

do they have AP portuguese?

there r going to be AP Chinese and Japanese next year, and Russian next next year.

lol how many language tests r there goin' to be?

I bet only 200 kids take AP italian this year...

It's tomorrow!!

Who else is going to fail with me??

woooo i know all those crazy tenses like woah, not really though

I just took it today and it went pretty well! I do have to admit though that the paragraph completions were a bit difficult... like I couldn't tell what tense I should've used. They placed the blanks at the weirdest parts of the sentences. ANd as for the directed responses, I stumbled at the first one and messed up on a the last one .... err ... i dont kno why! i guess its b/c my teacher never prepared us for the direct -response, just the picture sequence.

Overall, I felt the test was pretty easy, not very easy though. The Listening and the reading were the easiest but they didnt give us enough time to answer the questions! I had to finish each section while I was reading the questions for the next selection... Urrrrgh. But I finished nonetheless. The listening questions were simple anyway. They were like : Andrea is staying with: A) a cow , B)her family, etc. The newspaper articles were very interesting. Italians seem to like to write in a very abstract way; its like everything has a second meeting. Its really cool.

As for the writing, the essays, the topics were easy to explain and write about, so Im not sweating about those, and the story wasnt hard either. I know I passed for sure

ANyone else has any opinions?

i'm doomed to this spanish thing too...

i so so so want to learn russian, or french, or italian, or portuguese

spanish is cool too...... whats wrong with spanish......

did anyone else take it?

more importantly, were there any native speakers out there who took it?

anyone out there?

does anyone have the answers to the paragraph fill ins that are now released online at collegeboard.com

what did u think about the fill-ins impromptu? i thought they were more difficult than the ones in the draft....

i thought the verb one was difficult but i thought the preposition/article one wasnt so bad

they do need AP Portuguese

i would get a 3 or 4 on it i bet

same here impromptu. i cant wait to see the answers...
