For anyone who took the New SAT in March, could you please tell me what u think of the importance of Vocab? Is it less demanding ? Thanks.

Sentence comp. were really really difficult on the March 12th one. Most people said it was because there were 2 obscure words per question instead of one. Know your vocab words and you should do great on sent. comp. and the comprehension places hardly any emphasis on vocab.

Well, from my experience, the vocab level was up there in terms of difficulty. It seemed that most of the one blank sentence completions were based on whether you strictly knew the definition (as given by the sentence in context), and the two blank sentence completions were mainly based on interpretative definitions. By that, I mean that you could have a general idea of what the words meant (a lot vs. little, small vs. big, good vs. bad) and eliminate choices in order to arrive at the correct answer choice. But honestly, I think the March SAT will be one of the easiest new SATs for a while. My advice is to mainly focus on reading comprehension, but if you have time, I would obtain a list from a good source and start memorizing in your spare time or whenever. Good luck to you all.
