vocab! help plz

Ok.... I am so bad at vocab it isnt even funny. I can usually get the first 2 questions right on the vocab section but the last 4 I dont have any idea on what the words mean....... I've taken the advice of others and I have read about 5 books in the last few months ( a lot for me because of my schedule)......... but it didnt help at all.... Everything else is improving.. writing/math/comprehension........ but the vocab is Killing KILLING my C.R. score.......

So what do you advise me to do??? IS it worth the 10 dollars to buy one of those books with 10,000 sat vocab words?

Im really lost and i could use some help......
thanks so much!

I'm pretty bad at those type of questions too. I would go online and search "SAT vocabulary words" and then make flashcards from those words.

here are the 66 most popular words for SATs. SOmeone posted it in an earlier thread. It was given to him by his AP English teacher and she claimed it is a known fact. Hope this helps.

I bought a vocab "story book" put out by the sparknotes company. It's basically a story with activites at the end of each chapter using content from the story with SAT vocab words. A bit strange to explain, but I found it helpful. If it's any indication of success, my CR score went from 680-->740. IMO, review books can be a very good study tool. Good luck!
