My D would is going to major in vocal performance in the fall of 2018. She has narrowed down her top three choices to Temple (Boyer), Miami (Frost) and University of South Carolina. She did not want a conservatory because she wanted a rounded college experience. She loves the campus and environment of University of South Carolina but is concerned about the vocal performance program in their school of music as compared to Temple and Miami. Can anyone comment of any of these three schools and their experience?
Thank you!!!
Really…you will get better info on your same post in the music majors forum.
I will say…one of my kids looked at Frost. It’s really like a conservatory environment within the university. So is Boyer.
The key here is…where did your kid connect with the voice TEACHER. And the vocal ensemble conductors.

Any thing I read agrees with @thumper1 …it is about the Voice Teacher
