Volunteer Hours Verified??

Hey,

I'm applying to college and one of my biggest concerns at the moment is whether I can report UNRECORDED volunteer hours. I have done countless hours that I never recorded simply because I didn't think I would actually have to PROVE that I participated in certain activities. Will scholarships/college actually try and verify that I provided provable information??

help me out

No one asks you to prove hours

no one cares about hours, they care about what you did

as has been pointed out, for schools that care about ECs piling up hours isn’t what impresses adcoms. Accomplishments do.

If your wondering what are strong ECs, there is a thread with comments by NSM, a Ivy alum interviewer, about the topic.
