I volunteer at the zoo and at the library on a regular basis. :D

let me see... well before i went to boarding school I was a sidewalker for a therapeutic riding center (basically making sure the rider doesn't fall).
But nowadays... let me see
I volunteered with the school art sale the past 3 years. we sell arts and crafts and donate to a cause the school votes on (usually ties so it goes to 2 or 3 causes). I made the campaign poster and donated the picture frames this year and ran the sale for a couple hours the first year.
and i think that's it.
And I volunteered at summer art program for middle school girls. I had to make about 30 pin hole cameras (or most them) b/c the year before it took way too long for the 11 year olds to make them. I think I went through 3 cans of spray paint, and killed a couple 100 braincells.

I want to raise money for an art education program this fall.

I volunteer through Key Club in numerous events/projects/fundraisers. From my two years in it thus far, I have almost 240 hours...I also help at an Easter event held at the elementary school I attended, benefiting the fire dept.

I volunteer about 10 hours a week for an organization called WINGS that provides services and housing for victims of domestic violence in the Chicago suburbs. I just started this summer, though I hope to continue doing it throughout the school year.

I've also volunteered at a nursing home and done a few Special Olympics events. And I was on a Student Referendum Committee so that my school wouldn't have to fire teachers, cut half of the schools clubs, make the school day an hour shorter, and rid sports of all levels but varsity. And it passed, so that was a good thing.

I do some occasional volunteering at the library and am going to start at the hospital. :)
