Volunteering in fire/EMT?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>How much does volunteering in a fire department or EMT station compare to, say, working in a more civil-oriented program, suck as a food bank or habitat for humanity? </p>

<p>A friend of mine is thinking about both, but wants to know which would look better on an app, even though he feels the fire department to be more rewarding. I personally think that stuff like HfH would look better, but volunteering in a fire department is pretty significant,too. </p>

<p>Which would impress adcoms more?Any thoughts?</p>

<p>alright. he's just wondering whether or not one might have an advantage over the other in admissions. does it look good if one did habitat for humanity?</p>
