I have my interview coming up in a day and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I've done research on the type of questions asked, and I'm a sociable, outgoing person, but it's very nerve-wracking considering W&M is my first choice and it's a bit of a reach for me. What are some tips/advice/pointers that you can give to me? If you've interviewed there before, how was it?

Our S interviewed a couple of years ago now.Like you, he researched what to expect in regards to questions. He did tell us the interview was done by a rising senior and was very laid back. More like a chat than interview. He was asked if he had any questions: have some you might want to ask in case. The interview flowed very well for him and there were no awkward pauses he can recall. Only 1 question caught him off guard; ’ If you could create any class what would it be?" Sometimes questions can be qwirky…just go with it.Good luck!

I had mine about 2-3 weeks ago. Let me just tell you one thing. It was probably the most relieving and fun experience. My interviewer was an incredible girl and I was able to relate to her quite a bit. Of course you’re going to be nervous, I was incredibly nervous. However, if yours is going to be anything like mine, then after the first 5-6 questions you really begin to get the hang of it. It’s a relaxed, laid-back, and amazing experience. I took the advice “be yourself” and used it all I could. It is worth it! Good luck!

I could be 10,000 percent wrong but the sense I get is that these (all schools) student-led interviews are more marketing vehicles than admission selectors.

Our interviews are both informational and evaluative. Our interview FAQ page provides some help in preparing for your interview including blogs from previous Senior Interviewers that you might find helpful ([William & Mary - Frequently Asked Questions about Campus Interviews](http://www.wm.edu/admission/undergraduateadmission/applicationprocess/oncampusinterviews/interviewfaqs/index.php))
