W&M vs. Umich

I desperately need advice for this.

So I got into College of William and Mary and University of Michigan-Ann Arbor,
but am having a hard time making this call.

WM is 1 and 1/2 hr away from my home and UMich is 9 hrs away from my home.
I wanna go for neuroscience major then proceed to law school to become a patent lawyer.
(So not particularly interested in researching.)

I currently got offered 40 grands from UMich but nothing from WM (partly because Umich was EA and WM was from RD).
I'm still waiting on few applied scholarships and financial aid.

I'm tilted towards Umich. But to be honest its tuition is too much for me since as of right now I'm not even sure how much money's I'm gonna have to pay exactly.

It's also too far. But then, WM isn't exactly as perfect as umich for my major.

Can any of you guys can offer me some words of advice?

bump.
Anyone?

$40k is over 4 years I assume ($10k/year) right? If that is the case, Michigan will still cost approximately $43k/year. W&M will cost $29k/year. We are already talking about a $14k difference/year ($60k over 4 years), and that’s without any aid or scholarship money from W&M. As you have mentioned cost as being an important factor, and given the fact that for pre-law, Michigan will probably not give you an edge over W&M, the decision is pretty clear.
