W.P. Carey Academy acceptances?

Has anyone gotten their decision for the Academy yet? The admissions person told me they were planning to send out the first batch of letters by the end of the month (January).

I was just wondering what the baseline SAT score is for the Academy.

I got mine a long time ago, but I live instate and applied in October.

My daughter received hers in mid-January. I know last year some students were notified after orientations had begun in March.

Yeah, I think the admissions person mistakenly thought I was asking about current students rather than incoming freshman.

Thanks for your responses.

bchan, do you happen to remember if your daughters Academy acceptance came in the same packet as her wristband thing?

^My acceptance came in a separate packet/envelope thing that was white and green

Did your letter come immediately or did it take a while?

The only thing I remember with the acceptance letter was a glossy page of pictures and info about what the academy is. She had already been accepted to Barrett so maybe that gave her a different packet because as I understand it that is an automatic “in” for the Carey Academy.

i got my acceptance lettter from the academy last week but I was accepted to ASU back in december. I have a 2090 SAT and 4.1 weighted GPA

yeah acceptance letter comes in a big green and white envelope, and theyre already being sent out. I was admitted to barretts though already so idk if that influences it.

Do you have to apply to the Academy now? When I started you were in automatically as an honors student or if you met their specified requirements.

No, you still don’t have to apply. If you’re in Barrett or meet the requirements you are automatically accepted.

I just didn’t know what those requirements were and I had not heard from Barrett yet.

^ Ah ok. Thank you for clarifying.
