My D was just wait listed. Anyone know how likely it is to get in off the wait list?

Probably very unlikely, sorry to say. Being waitlisted is essentially being rejected with honorable mention. I don’t know the numbers for Lehigh, but at most schools they will only take a dozen or fewer off a waitlist with several thousand students.

Also waitlisted. Sorry to hear.

@jcfsox…“rejection with honorable mention”…I like that. :)

It may be unlikely but you can always increase your chances by keeping in touch with the school. Update them with any more awards or achievements, third quarter grades (assuming they’re considerably good) or even just express interest in the school. If you’re waitlisted and it’s really your dream school, let them know in a classy manner and you may get off the list.

I was wait listed…and accepted by BU (honors), wait listed at Chicago, and accepted at Wash U…what happened?

This year has been all over for me, as well. Pretty confused and pissed, but that’s life.

2013 Wait List Stats
C2 Number of qualified applicants offered a placed on waiting list 3521
C2 Number accepting a place on the waiting list 1250
C2 Number of wait-listed students admitted 39

I was waitlisted too, not really sure why since my stats are well above the average there.

The above information is false. Lehigh admits off the waitlist for Spring semester enrollment.

The information from wheres95 is taken directly from Lehigh’s common data set. Based on 2013 stats, that means about a 3% chance of getting off the wait list, and probably little/no aid. Son is in the same boat; guess there’s no harm in filling out the letter, but I wouldn’t hold my breath…
