Received the news today, daughter has been waitlist. Her letter states they usually take btw 25-40 students off the list. Oh well! We live about 45 minutes away, and never visited the school, maybe that's the reason she's wait list. Any way good luck to everyone.

firstyearmom1 -- I'm sure your daughter will have some great choices. F&M only fills 178 slots from the Regular Decision pool so admission is highly competitive. Their waitlist, filled with capable, qualified students, is usually quite large so chances of getting off it, as you know, are not particularly good. F&M is a school I'm keeping an eye on for D2, but I don't think I want to play financial aid roulette by going the ED route, which may be her best chance. Good luck to you and your daughter.

hudsonvalley51,
Unheard of 178 slots. Yes, she has some great choices which she narrow down to her top 3 schools, Laffayette College, Muhenberg College, and Ursinus College. Good luck to you and your daughter as well.

Waitlisted too. Waitlisted by 4 schools, only accepted by 2. You know what's ridiculous about this is that society today pressures everyone into going to these schools, so only the ultra qualified or spots they need to fill to pretend to be diverse get in. My mom said it was unheard of back in her day for undergrads to have these waitlists (I have old parents). I'm not going to bother with F&M, I'll take my chances at Hobart and Brandeis. Just disappointing, but it's not their fault.
