<p>Hi, everyone! I recently discovered that I was denied of admission at Andover, but thankfully wait listed at Hotchkiss and Choate. The FAQs at Hotchkiss states that they typically enrol few students off the Wait List each year, but I am unsure of Choate. If anybody has information regarding the Wait List process or how to increase chances of getting off the Wait List by sending additional materials such as new grades, please share. Personal experiences will be helpful as well! Thanks.</p>

My friend was on the list last year as well; however, s/he got off by qualifying for the AIME; I think it’s a math thing? I suppose it was a big enough of an accomplishment! However, the student was also a full-pay, with an athletic hook.</p>

I’m also a full pay with a few good extracurricular activities, but I don’t know if you can call them ‘hooks’… By the way, congratulations on your acceptamce to Choate! I read it on another thread. Choate is my first-choice school, and I really want to enrol there. Are you enroling at Choate?</p>
<p>AIME is the American Invitational Mathematics Exam – you qualify by taking AMC which was in February.</p>

<p>@pingu21198: Thanks! If it makes you feel better, though, my parents are making quite a ruckus over my enrolling to Choate…so a spot might open up soon…</p>
<p>Moreover, I have a friend accepted to Andover, Hotchkiss, and Choate. She’s leaning towards Andover though. Don’t give up hope! :)</p>

I got into both schools on March 9th and chose Choate, but I heard that Choate is generally full for next year. However, they said that they might take some people off the wl over the summer.
I’m not sure about Hotchkiss, but good luck!</p>
