Wait listed students visiting?

I'm kind of in a strange situation. I'm on the priority waiting list but have never visited Carnegie Mellon and would like to do so now (just in case I end up being admitted, I want to know what the school is like). But, waiting list students are invited to any of the admitted student days and the regular information sessions are for juniors who haven't applied yet.

What do you recommend I do? Should I call the admissions office? I'm thinking that they'll let me go and take a tour of the school and talk to the admissions people.

I guess a wait listed student visiting also shows interest so that may help me out.

Why not? Carnegie Mellon seems to be pretty big on demonstrated interest so dropping by the admissions office and explaining how badly you want to go to the school definitely can’t hurt (I had to settle for just another essay, but it worked all the same.)
