Wait-Listed, What Now?

<p>I just received this letter in the mail: </p>

<p>The UA Admissions committee recently completed a review of over 20,000 apps for Class of 2016. While our committee was unable to recommend your admission to the University at this time, we would like to invite you to accept a place on a limited Wait List for qualified alternates.</p>

<p>If you choose to accept a place on our Wait List, please complete the online response form at <a href="http://www.XX.com%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.XX.com&lt;/a> ASAP but no later than May 10,2012. </p>

<p>It goes on to say students will be notified if they got in from the wait list no later than July 1.</p>

<p>I've been checking online and no where does it say how many people where wait-listed or what the acceptance rate for the wait-list is. Has anyone else gotten wait-listed at Albany?</p>

<p>D was also wait listed. Luckily she visited U at Buffalo and really liked it so she will be sending in a deposit there.</p>

<p>How were you notified, snail mail, email or online website?</p>

<p>They sent me the acceptance letter via first class mail in a normal sized letter envelope </p>
