Throughout my college admissions process, I've used this line from Zig Ziglar when opening letters, waiting for decisions, etc.

"Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, capitalize on what comes."

I think this is the best advice for all of you waiting on admission decisions. If you don't get into the school of your dreams, it is their loss. Move on and don't dwell.

Hopefully, you will all fare well today, D-Day :)

Best of luck! I have my fingers crossed for all of you.

thats sweet. hard not to dwell, oh well

Remember.. we ARE competing against the BEST OF THE BEST

Rejection merely means that the schools is not meant for us and it's not the place for us to be. It doesn't mean we're losers or anything like that. I'm waiting for my rejection right now. But I'm so glad I gave myself a chance to do this.

YAY for all of us :) CC-ers rock. Look at your stats!! ECS!! GRADES!! or think back the efforts you all put in during high school yrs!! you guys are amazing!

I hope everyone reads this thread because that's great advice & exactly what I did in the hours before my decision!! :)

yeah hhboyji is totally right. Even if cornell is your fav school, you probably love lots of the other schools you got accepted to, and will enjoy yourself in college regardless. also a rejection is not a reflection on your person, it only means the college didnt like your application. and once again, yeah, the best of the best factor...as cornell said in some parent handbook for when students call home flipping out with stress "even a mediocre student at cornell is pretty darn smart when it comes to the rest of the world" or something like that
