Waiting on Grad School

So I am majoring in Anthropology with a heavy interest in cultural studies and an interest in physical studies. I want to specify in Asian studies, and as I started the grad school application process and I realized I'm not quite ready for Grad School yet. The new issue is I have no clue what to do. I was thinking of doing the Peace Core or TFA but I just have no idea whats a good option for me to do that will go as a strength for when I do apply and am ready for grad school.

Do you have a question?

You didn’t specify what kind of graduate school you wanted to do. PhD? MA? Do you want to be an anthropology professor, or an applied anthropologist in a non-academic setting? Or something else entirely?

If you have no idea what you want to do, do what feels good to you. If you want to do two years in the Peace Corps, do that. If you want to do TfA, do that. Don’t do everything just based upon what will get you into graduate school, especially if you have no idea what career you want to enter. Do things that are interesting to you and over time, you can draw towards your dream field.

Well that is the thing, I want to wait on grad school (which I want to go for a PhD) because I have no clue what I want to do yet. The hard part is figuring out what is out there that would be out there, while I take a break, that’s useful for me in learning more about anthropology. The only field schools they really have out there are more of an archeology type setting. I just have no idea what organizations out there would be good for what I am interested in.
