Waitlist 2022

@4junior did he send in a LOCI to get off the WL? and congrats to him!

@labrelum I do not know, honestly. His counselor certainly relayed his interest, and his counselor has a very good relationship with the school. He is very excited, but has never seen the school (we are NYC) so is flying out to make his decision.

@labrelum My D who just got accepted of the waitlist sent two letters total and asked her counselor to call. When she was offered a position they referenced her letters and interest. She wrote her second letter the night before she was called. Interest appears to play an important role. I’m rooting for you to get in!

@caspiancat I sent in two letters and asked my counselor to call as well! hoping that they contact soon. I’ll update you if I hear anything!

My D just got off the waitlist from California! She received a call, but we are still waiting on financial aid.

Wow. Anyone else waiting for feedback like me? Are you guys getting emails in addition to the calls you’re receiving?

And do you think it’ll hurt my chances if I called them to ask when I’ll receive my decision?

Also, why does it sound like the waitlist is ranked? :expressionless:

Is it safe to assume the waitlist is closed at this point?

@cryingchemist when I called in the first week of May, the AO I spoke to said decisions would be coming out throughout the month. although idk how accurate that is anymore considering the fact that no one has gotten off the WL after the first week of May

thanks so much for the info! @labrelum

I received a call around 4pm PST on May 16 that I got off the waitlist!

@Zion101 yay!! congratulations!

If it’s of any help to anyone, I just got rejected off the Waitlist. Not sure if they just released all rejections, or did so in waves

I was also rejected off the WL today :confused: nice to finally have closure tho! best of luck to anyone who’s attending pomona next year :slight_smile:

I got a letter a couple days ago saying that the class of 2022 is full, but that I’m still on the waitlist until mid-July. Is it really worth it to stay on this waitlist, because how many people really get admitted in the summer months? It seems to me not very many… I love Pomona but also sort of want a sense of closure :frowning:
