What is the recommended course of action when on the waitlist. Should a letter of continued interest be sent after April 1st? I was planning on also sending my IB predicted grades.
My D sent a LOCI and plans on updating awards and any major updates in the next few weeks. She loves Pomona.
Anyone else on the waitlist? I really hope Pomona is able to take a decent amount of applicants off the waitlist this year.
Has anyone on the waitlist gotten contacted by Pomona?
We haven’t heard anything yet but still holding out hope. How about you? Have you heard anything?
@caspiancat no, just wondering.
I just got off the Pomona waitlist today. Super excited as it is my top choice!
Did u get a call?
I did!
@TriplePinto congrats! So excited for you! My D is still holding out hope as well. Do you mind sharing what region of the country you’re from or whether you’re international?
@caspiancat I am a domestic student from Texas!
How much time do they give you to make a decision? Also, do they ask you anything on the phone call before offering you a spot?
I have one week to make the decision. The admission officer asked if I was still interested in remaining on the waitlist, and proceeded to offer me a spot after I said yes.
what? they should offer you a spot officially then give you a week to commit. 8-|
Have a few updates from my D’s guidance counselor after he spoke with admissions. They will be taking more off the waiting list, but they are not sure how many. Working on making more decisions over the next two days (although I am sure it may extend beyond then as they wait on accepted waitlisted students to commit). Good luck to @caleegalee @senior4321 @SienaRose. Congrats again to @TriplePinto, hopefully we will all be going you
Just received a call, I’m off the waitlist. Domestic from Florida.
^
I’m also caspian’s D
@TriplePinto just curious if you’ve already received your financial aid letter (if you applied)? I got updated with my admission letter which said the financial aid letter would be displayed at the bottom, but I think that’s leftover from the original letter because I don’t have mine. Trying to figure out how long I’ll have to wait and see. Thanks and congratulations!
@Moriarsh I received my financial aid letter one day after getting the admission letter. The admission officer did tell me that it may take up to three business days though.
D’s boyfriend just got off the waitlist at Pomona, so there does seem to be movement. He never visited so he needs to fly out, they give him a week to decide.
