Waitlist Acceptance

How many of you are going to accept a place on the waitlist?

I am. Provided I can ever get on the colby status thing again because I am “forbidden to access it”

Already accepted. now just praying they go to their wait list this year. :)

Any updates on the waitlist?

So, at this point I’m guessing if we haven’t heard anything, getting off the waitlist is a no-go (as if there ever was much chance anyways…).

Hey,
Last week I contacted the admissions office regarding the waitlist. This is what they said “Keeping you apprised, we have begun calling some students from the wait list.
Our goal is to get approximately 40 students to accept our offer, but we’ll have to contact more than 40 to do so. Complicating this, is the fact that as of today, we cannot make offers to those needing financial aid. This process will take days, if not weeks. We hope to notify, and thereby close the Wait List by early June. That’s the best information I can give at the moment.”

I got in off the waitlist! However they calculated my EFC at higher than I thought they would so I don’t know if I’ll be able to go. The difference between their net price calculator and offer was about $10,000/year. I’m still really happy though, I got denied at all the selective colleges I applied to and was really expecting colby to come through, and in the end they finally accepted me. Hopefully I can attend in fall.
