Guys,

when you hear from Colby, could you drop a line whether you were accepted or rejected from the wait list?

And do you have any idea when this is most likely to happen?

I haven't heard yet, but I wouldn't expect a phone call or anything until at least May 1. Unless people have been sending back their reply cards ahead of time, they'll have to tally up the attending students before taking people off the waitlist.
Waiting sucks.

yeah i doubt we'll hear anything until first week of may 1st, when dey noe how many extra slots they need to fill up. rejections will probably come much later in early july...

actually i think its gonna be more like mid may.......that is right in the middle of my exams.....no matter how much i try to leave the thought behind, i cant help but keep on hoping...

Anybody taken off the waitlist yet?

Actually, one of my friends just got accepted. I wonder why it's so fast.

To those who are waitlisted, have you gotten any sort of confirmation of your place on the waitlist? I never heard from them since sending in my reply card.......

Last week, the decision was made to release those students who chose to remain with us on our WaitList, and we started sending letters to the 300-or-so WaitListed students before the weekend. We ended up taking roughly 40 students from our WaitList this year, more than in most years--and for the last few weeks we have been holding out hopes that we might still open a few more spots for additional offers of admission. However, as it became clear that our numbers have stabilized, we felt it necessary to close the process for the class of 2010. Thanks to those of you who did stay with us, for many weeks after the deadline for choosing your college, and our sincere thanks to you for your interest in Colby. Best of luck as you pursue your collegiate careers.
