Waitlist and realistic expectations

Hi guys,

Do you know how many people from the waitlist were accepted last year ? If i’m waitlisted, should i wait or is it game over ?
I know some schools where no one from the waitlist is ever accepted, and some others where waitlist is almost good news.

In which category is Michigan ?

Thanks for your answers in advance.

Michigan historically has taken very few off the waitlist in the past. This year, however, the university plans to actually use the waitlist. If you do get on the waitlist, your chances may not be great but they should be better than past years.

It is likely they will accept more from the waitlist this year, however, it may still be a small portion of the whole list.

The waitlist, per memory, was around 4,000 and the number accepted was around/a-bit-over 2%…or around 85 to 90.

It varied from year to year. Last couple years, they accepted almost none from the wait list.

This year is the great unknown. Who knows what’s gonna happen

I agree that it’s very unknown. It should be fascinating to see what happens and if Michigan will really be making use of the waitlist in the way they have stated.
