The class I want to take allows 8 on the waitlist; there are 4 on it right now. How likely is it--if I'm at least one of the 8 (my registration is tomorrow)--that I'd get in? I really want to take this class, but is it worth the risk?

depends on the class… some automatically admit everyone on the waitlist (like lower division math classes)

It’s a GE: Ancient Egyptian Religion. :-/

What is the class size- 50, 100, 150 or more students?

Is that good or bad? :p

Better than 50, but not as good as 150. I think your chances are pretty solid that you’ll get in, particularly on a GE class.

Ah, really? Great! I think I’ll take the plunge then. Thanks!

Let the teacher know how much you want to take the class and how you will really contribute (assuming you will)-- this won’t hurt your chances…
