Does anyone know when UW will start to notify students on the waitlist?

Anywhere between now and August, I think…they leave it pretty wide open Three years ago, 3 of my sister’s friends found out in mid June.

I hope we both get in, mate.

Just curious, dis you guys mail acceptances to another college just in case? Or how doe that work?

Rather dangerously, I did not. So I’m hoping very much that UW will accept me.

Well if it makes any of you feel better i didnt take my spot, you can have it :)

If only it were so easy…

My friend is waiting for a response from the waitlist…she’s super nervous…can someone post here when they get a letter (acceptance or otherwise) so we know when to start checking the mail religiously?

When I was a senior (last year) it was late May to June.

Even though there’s the May 1 deadline, admissions doesn’t make final waitlist decisions right away. I think that’s because the applications in the waitlist pool aren’t ‘ranked’ but they will actually go back and look through them again.

Quick Update: I emailed an admissions counselor about the waitlist and this was the response I received last Friday.

"We are still receiving some May 2nd post-marked confirmations. Starting next week, we will analyze our confirmation numbers and then we will be able to assess how many offers we can make to students currently on our waitlist. ‘’
