I'm currently third on the waitlist for chem 7L out of 20. I'm pretty sure I started somewhere close to 11 on waitlist. Does anyone know the chances that I'll get into the class? Sorry, it's just really bothering me and I wanted to hear some other opinions. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you went from 11 to 3 on the wait list in a small amount of time, you may have a chance then. I am also #3 on the wait list, but for a bigger class. Hopefully we both get in!

Are you trying to get into Genetics- BICD 100 with Laurie Smith? If that’s the course you’re trying to add there’s a disclaimer on the schedule of classes…

"BICD 100 (A00, B00 & C00) are participating in the distance learning program for Fall Quarter 2011. Students enrolled in these sections may or may not be in the classroom with the instructor. Technology will be used so that students will see and hear the instructor as well as have the ability to ask questions during the lecture. "

There’s 167 spots left for 722905 & 49 spots left for 722917. There’s 14 different discussion meeting times so I’m guessing you can find one that fits in your schedule.

If you are still not in the lab when classes begin, chances are you probably won’t be able to get into the lab. Since Chem 7L is a required course for pretty much ALL science majors, no one would probably want to drop it. But you just might get lucky though, so don’t give up!

If people don’t show up to the first lab they are automatically dropped from it so there still is hope. I’m not making any guarantees but it’s technically not impossible. I would definitely have a backup class though.

I’m likely going to drop CHEM 7L for this quarter so maybe you’ll move up a spot if we’re signed up for the same lab. :)

Thanks guys! You are all awesome! I think I’m going to stay with on the waitlist until classes start and definitely have a backup class in mind. cross fingers and good luck to everyone else on waiting lists!
