My daughter has been waitlisted. Does anyone know how Temple's waitlist works? Does she have to accept a spot on the waitlist or will she just automatically be put on the list? When will they make final decisions for waitlisted people?

Bump… Anyone???

Students Offered Wait List - 1,421
Students Accepting Wait List Position - 648
Students Admitted From Wait List - 264

Yes, you need to accept a spot on the waitlist, otherwise they’ll assume you’re not interested. They should tell you when you’ll hear back by, I’d assume between mid May - early June

@Skyzord for students admitted from waitlist is that how many were already accepted? Also how do you know this. Im on the waitlist too and it’s driving me crazy!

You’ll hear back between now and May 20th, I’m in the same boat.

The figures posted above are from the Fall of 2011 entering class.

The figures from the Fall of 2012 entering class were:

Students offered wait list - 1,168
Students accepting wait list position - 512
Students admitted from wait list - 512

See C2 in the common data set:

Good luck!

Do people who are waitlisted usually commit somewhere else in case they dont get accepted since most schools have a May 1st deadline?

Yes, absolutely send in your deposit somewhere else by May 1.

If you then get into Temple, you will just forfeit your deposit at the other school.

I found out that my daughter was supposed to receive an email about the waitlist with instructions on how to accept a place on the waitlist. She never got this email. I emailed and called admissions and still have not gotten the email. Can someone who got the email let me know what it said and if it mentions how long you have to respond. Also, should I just keep calling and emailing until I get a response?
