Title says it all. To those who were waitlisted, did you accept a spot?

I personally did. Even though June 1st is very late, I'm determined to attend my dream school.

Waitlist information:

Students Offered Wait List 4,875
Students Accepting Wait List Position 1,983
Students Admitted From Wait List 521 (26%)

I did. In the meantime, I’m going to have to put a deposit on another school. That 26% acceptance rate doesn’t look very promising, along with the fact that June is a long way off.

Yeah, still have to do a round of college visits to determine where I’m going to put my deposit.

The above figures are from the Fall of 2011 entering class.

This is from the Fall of 2012 entering class:

Students offered wait list 3,661
Students accepting wait list position 1,451
Students admitted from wait list 319 (22%)

Good luck!

SU is a school that really values evidence of interest. So many students end up not attending because they don’t like the snow. If this is really your first choice, make sure that you visit and send a letter of school to the admissions office and the recruiting coordinator of the individual school that you applied to.

Was anyone else waitlisted for fall but admitted for spring?

Accepted my wait list, will be sending in a letter updating them and keeping in contact with them.

My friend was admitted to Spring semester, but she declined. She was accepted to BU/GW so no reason for her to accept a spot at this point.

SU is my top choice… I got admitted for spring semester for psychology but I would much rather start in the fall. What do you think my chances of getting off the wait list if i get 2 alumni recommendation letters and another letter from my psych teacher?

@hsgrad2013 Alumni letters won’t help your chances of getting off the waitlist, to tell you the truth. A letter from your psych teacher may, however.

Yes, accepted my waitlist offer and admittance into spring semester if I don’t make it in. Fingers crossed! I will be depositing and making other plans though, seeing as the acceptance rate is pretty low.

For everyone who was waitlisted for fall/ admitted for spring… I called the financial aid office and they told me that we would recieve our financial aid packages for spring semester around April 19th.
