how does waitlists work, don't you have to make a decision by May 1st on the schools that accepted you?
so . . . if you get accepted off of the waitlist mid-may, don't you have to reject that??
i'm really confused . . .
(by the way, i'm asking this for all the schools, not just cornell)

You send multiple reply cards - one to a school that accepted you saying that you want to attend, and others to the school(s) that waitlisted you saying that you'll remain on the waitlist. If, at some point in May or June, a school contacts you to let you know that you got accepted off the waitlist, you have to contact your other school and let them know that there's been a change of circumstances and you won't be attending. You'll probably lose your deposit there.

thanks!

that's good news
