Waitlisted 2019

Hi everyone my d was waitlisted for villanova 2019. has anyone received a phone call yet??? thanks everyone best wishes

Collegeluvmama, sorry to hear about your d. S was waitlisted at villanova also. My older d already goes there–his heart is set on it. Have heard they will call starting this week, just don’t know when…hope some people post if they have gotten calls!

Heard from the local rep that they aren’t expecting to make many calls because they got a higher than anticipated yield. Still hoping though

I was waitlisted too for class of 2019 and I was devastated. I have had my heart set on nova for years now, I just hope we get the call soon. I have my mom on constant standby. Hope everyone will post if anyone hears… Arts and sciences major

Why is that every college I got waitlisted at is received a higher than expected yield?

My son is committed to Vassar but a classmate received a letter from Villanova admissions indicating they are not using the waitlist this year.

Screenshot of her letter:

We had a higher number of students deposit this year than anticipated and so it doesn’t look like we will be going to the waitlist this year. I am very sorry about this bad news for you! I hope you have found another great option for you in another college for the fall.

I wish you all the best!

The post above purports to quote from a letter from Villanova admissions, but it is so inarticulate that I cannot imagine an admissions officer from such a highly-ranked university wrote it.

Has anyone heard from Villanova regarding the wait list?

I’ve heard of one guy who got of the waitlist so far

Hi @AuntieLynne Sorry to disappoint you. that was a screenshot from an admissions email. I can post more of it if you like. Unfortunately, it is legit.

It came from David Martinsen in Villanova Admissions. I copied what was in the screenshot and typed it into the box, which is what may be confusing to you.

@momofwaitlisted: they are not taking anyone off the waitlist as of 5/13…higher than usual “yield”. This email (above) came from David Martinsen in Admissions.
