waitlisted ahhh!

dang..it... i just got waitlisted from UW. Anyone know the statistics of getting in if you're on the list? Is there a way of knowing where you're at on the list? is there anything i can do to improve my chances? I really need help on this. if anyone knows of anything, it'd help a lot. thanks

i have no idea.. i'm not on the waitlist but i'm curious as well

sorry I don't know. But I got waitlisted at Cornell and I understand how frustrated you are! Keep your fingers crossed and maybe you'll make it off the waitlist!

It varies from year to year, there is no real indicator. It just depends how many avalible spots are left, and how many students decide not to attend. Just hang in there and give it your best shot, and I think you'll be fine.

Best of Luck!

^ i got waitlisted as well for UW.. sucks but maybe there is still a chance [X]

how do you know if you're waitlisted? is there a way to check online?

yeah being waitlisted sucks. even if we do get in, we're gonna get crap housing. im still gonna send in my $250 to western washington university to say that im going there, but then if UW accepts me then i'll just have to eat that $250 and head to UW

^ oh really... crappy housing?? oh oh good thing im going to live off-campus .. btw my friend said when they sent him a waitlisting letter - they made him pay a $250 deposit fee for some reason along with the form he sent in...hm i didn't have to do that

yeah we would probably get weak housing because by the time UW notifies us of getting in, people will have taken up lander and all the other good dorms. also, thats strange about your friend, because i didnt have to pay anything either. maybe he's high up on the waitlist so they know they will probably be accepting him, therefore making him pay his deposit now.
