What are the chances of getting in? My friend's hysterical right now. Dartmouth really was his number one choice.

yeh, bump bump

I was waitlisted too. They said not to get your hopes up, lol. Oh well.. I'd rather go to Swat :)

Hope your friend gets in. I won't be taking up a spot on the waitlist so I hope that helps him.

yea me too.

How many people were accepted? How many people were waitlisted? Does anyone have a clue.

waitlisted too.

oh well. narrows down the schools, makes the decisiosn easier.

also waitlisted at harvard and swat.

It seems as if a lot of people got waitlisted. Crap.

Waitlisted as well, same as Yale and Wharton, I never would have guessed I would even have gotten waitlisted.

waitlisted here too...dartmouth was my #1 but remember things happen for a precise reason. in a few years or sooner maybe even tomorrow we'll realize why things happen how they do. but i do wonder how they choose people off the waitlist if they claim there is no ranking on it...hmmmm

grr waitlisted here too

I guess I will cross my fingers a hope for an out of left-field admission....

HOW TF DO THEY DECIDE!!! IM A FINNA EXPLODEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! ($^()$()^($&*()^&()$^&$()^&()$()^)($&^)($&()^&)($^()$(7^(&$(^()($&()^&$&^)($&^$(&)^&9 ugh i feel like getting in a fist fight.

hehe, im coo im coo

yeah me too was first choice

hahah i love reading your post and then your name, happysunshine :)

Did you read the other thread? someone said they place 1200 on the waitlist, 700 accept the place, and they take 16 off the waitlist in the end...typically

any idea how many were waitlisted this year?

Is there anyone out there that got into Dartmouth off of the waiting list? I would love to hear about what you did to gain acceptance.

actually, I was WL'ed last year and they told me that if I applied as a transfer next year they'd accept me.

I wrote like three letters which - in the opinion of everyone that read them - were really funny and conveyed just how much I desperately wanted to go there. One of them was a play set in my AP Bio class about being waitlisted. I changed the words to some familiar songs - for example, to the tune of the Friends theme "So no one told you life was gonna be this way/You wanted Brown but what you've got is UVA" etc etc...anyway in the end I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Tufts and decided not to transfer. Maybe grad school though! Who knows!

I enjoyed bolding the X next to the NO on the waitlist postcard. Then, I made the most illegible/scribbley signature EVAR. It made me feel smug :P
