Waitlisted at JHU

I am an international student from India who has been wait listed at JHU, which is my top choice. Being an international student, I was required to send a Certification of Finances, which for some unknown reason was not received by the university.
Could this be the reason for my being waitlisted?
If yes, then will sending it now along with my waitlist card and letters expressing my interest in the University increase my chances?
Also, will visiting campus help my case, as I am willing to do whatever it takes to get in.
Please advise and let me know of any other steps I can take.
Thanks

Edit - I forgot to mention that I applied for BME..is there even any hope of getting accepted for BME

I don’t know if it was a factor, but it might have been since international admissions are not need blind as are domestic regular admissions.

To the extent it was a factor, clearing up the issue of your ability to pay will help your chances if Hopkins goes to the waitlist, since admissions off the wait list are also not need blind (i.e., if you don’t need financial aid, your chances are improved).

i don’t think visitng the campus will improve your case. i was also waitlisted. but i do think writing a letter of intent is a good idea
