<p>Ok so I got waitlisted by Deerfield and Concord Academy. Does anyone know the chances of me getting accepted off the waitlist into either of these schools? I have been rejected by four other great schools and my hopes have been shattered, but not completely destroyed for these 2 schools.</p>
<p>Does mailing the card they give ASAP give me an edge in the rankings? </p>
<p>I also heard that I still have to go into "heavy bargaining" with the schools to up my chances off the wait list. Anyone know what I have to do?</p>

<p>Ugh, I’m in the same situation as you, but with Middlesex and Choate. I think what might help is to send them an e-mail updating them on recent events, like recent accomplishments and such. Or, if you want to go to the extreme, you could do something major (like starting some huge environmental movement at your school that might make the newspaper or something ----- thats what I’m thinking of doing

<p>Yeah…the problem is I havent had any recent accomplishments. My school is public so there are pretty much no opportunities to do something note-worthy right now.</p>
<p>Welll…then, do something out of school. You could get a part time job at a nursing home (I think that would look pretty good), or you could work at a animal shelter, etc.</p>

<p>Btw…I recently got my scuba diving license. Do you think this would be significant enough for me to send to the schools as an addition to my ECs/accomplishments?</p>
