Waitlisted (so, rejected) but I have a story to tell

hahahhaha. I started a flame war. This is really funny.

True. City versus suburbs is a matter of preference. I personally, like to see different people, glittering large buildings and open sidewalks as opposed to trees and suicidal deer. To each his own. Btw, I live in a suburb/rural place and I absolutely hate it.

Personally,I guess what you say could be true. However, for pre-meds and law students, it’s nice to have a high gpa when applying for grad school. Furthermore, I do not want to have the same experience mentioned by Princetonians in silver turtle’s article. Note that you will not get a grade just for doing nothing, and there will be classes that are hard which no one gets an A in.

3.Wikicu also says of Princeton:
"They stand for everything we hate:
* New Jersey (There’s a reason we call Princeton the deodorant[1] in the armpit of America)
Elitist “eating clubs” (yes, imagine having to be accepted into a club just to eat!)

WASPy pedigrees

Suburban indolence

Country-club air

Upper-level douchiness

“Kids who know the difference between this season and last season’s J.Press catalogs, and will bore you with the details”

I don’t believe any of these things. I do think they are funny. But if you want to get into a war of what Wikicu thinks of Princeton, at least include everything.
Princeton ■■■ is cute, it isn’t really comparable to Wikicu, being that Wikicu is a Wikipedia on all things Columbia and princeton ■■■ is just a bunch of depressed Princetonians, still hilariously funny, though.
4. maybe true, about the proportions but Columbia is more racially diverse.
5. True, it is all a matter of preference. Campus Grotto calls the Butler library the 4th most beautiful college library (2010) But, hey, I could be making this up.
6. I disagree. naturally. Often people from different disciplines have no intellectual variety. Engineers only study engineering and humanities majors never read a math book. I like being out of my comfort zone. Could I do that without the core, yes. But I wouldn’t be able to see an engineer’s face when he understands Gilgamesh and the universality of the flood myth for the first time.
8. ugh. thus is true. Columbia sports are incredibly bad. Thank God, I have the varsity show.

Honestly, I don’t really care about Princeton. I’m just disagreed with some of the things the Op said. and his attitude towards Columbia was so disappointing. I’m really excited to be going. Princeton is not Columbia and I wouldn’t want it to be.

But if anyone wants to continue a flame war, have fun. I’m kinda bored anyway and you guys are pretty amusing.
