does anyone have any stats on how many people get offered admission after being waitlisted???? do you know anyone like this? :( please give me some hope.. and when do you find out??? i really hope if i get accepted, it's not dragged out till july or something ><

Depends on the year. Ideally, Columbia will predict their yield correctly and not use the waitlist at all. In most years, they do so and take almost no (or no) waitlist people. Some years, they're a bit off and pick up as many as 40-50. There are a ton of people who are waitlisted, so your odds are slim. But, it could happen. There's a guy here who was accepted off the WL.

You'll find out in mid-May after they get their responses from the admitted students.
