Does anyone know how hard it is to get off the waitlist? How many are usually waitlisted? Thanks.

Great post...PLEASE answer this. I got wl'd too, and it's my first choice after i was flat out rejected from Tufts, though i was a shoe-in there.
Screw college.

It varies from year to year. I know that my year (c/o 2007) they took a lot off the WL. Last year the regular decision yield spiked a few points which led to overenrollment and a housing shortage at the beginning of the year, so they probably took much less. My prediction this year is that to compensate for the rising yield rate they will undershoot the enrollment with RD admissions and try to make up the rest from the WL. So don't lose hope. Write them a letter politely telling them how you appreciate the opportunity to be on the WL and are still very interested in attending.
