<p>What I AM going to do is attend NYU who yesterday gave me a place off their waitlist. See how easy that is for a properly run university admissions dept. to sort out their waitlist in a timely and ordered manner ? Even got a personal telephone call from one of their admission dept. ladies telling me I was accepted. That’s caring about yr students.</p>
<p>Oh and you know how many people applied to NYU ? 37,000.</p>
<p>And as a final thought Casey, you are not even a student. You are not waitlisted for UW You are not having to worry about being jerked around by student admissions depts. You don’t have any kids at UW. You have obviously not been a part of this whole 2009 UW funding/waitlist fiasco. You live in California. You are old.</p>

All it means is in the eyes of the UW admission department your not qualified for admission. I know it sucks and you’re really butt-hurt, but you just got to live with the fact that you’re not good enough. <p>thanks esp i agree. this forum is for waitlisted people and other people who might have some sympathy for us. if you are not one of those, then it’s not your business to come on here and tell anyone how terrible and dumb they are for no reason. mooper and casey its not affecting either of you what udubwaiting said about admissions. neither of you have dealt as closely with them as us on here who have been trying to figure out what is going on in the office simply because all of the informating they have sent us is conflicting. --especially you casey, what is a parent doing on here going off at already upset kids, telling them essentially they are worthless for being on this thread and not doing something with their life? think about your own kids and how they would feel, and stop bugging us because no one on here appreciates you or your opinions at this point.</p>

<p>I got accepted off the waitlist and the enrollment deposit was due May 11th. I got email from Housing office saying the priority deadline for the dorm was extended to May 15. I guess they may start accepting waitlist applicants after or around May 11.</p>
