direct from a BC admission counselor, but an exact number wasnt given, just a range.

^^^Those stats sound about right.

I didn't even apply for FA and I got the form...

same here.

Why does it list the year 2009 next to the required Incoming Validation Form? Does everyone have that year?

Yeah I have that year

Is there anyone wait listed who does not have the "Incoming Undergraduate Validation Form" link on his/her Agora?

I dont think so....

calm down, calm down uxnaitoahz you'll find out about the waitlist soon enough.....just hang on there mate....

A letter just came to my son today regarding the validation form- asking us to go in and print it out and send it in to validate that he is an incoming freshman and they said in the letter that this will finalize their financial aid offer, which is funny because they offered us no aid to begin with. I think this may answer your question initially regarding the form. Its also says that it is due back by June 1st, so hopefully the waitlist will be released soon.

I think everyone said they had that form appear on their Agora. It's very weird- my D's last semester grades have not even been released yet- she just finished classes last week! So it seems unlikely that the form's appearance means acceptance.

ww007: did you D get a request for spring grades? Does BC ask for those prior to making a decision do you know?

I really don't know specifically about BC. My guidance counselor did say that even if you are accepted the colleges want the final transcript with the school's seal as proof that you actually completed your senior year (ie graduated). So I would guess that if you don't send them they could still accept you but would expect those grades before it was "official". A guidance counselor would know more about it.

Oh, sorry. I was talking about students transferring after their freshman year of college. Don't know if they get asked for spring grades from their current school or not.

sunshadow - I think spring grades only come into play if you get waitlisted.

Has anyone gotten off the list yet?

yeah i heard someone at my school got in last week...but only from other people so I dont know how true it is.

so as most of you guys know BC said they cant give out info over the phone about the waitlist and they do not encourage additional rec letters to be sent. do you think they would care if i sent a teacher rec anyway? and i also wanted to send an essay i wrote for another app last fall because Ive realized my common app essay wasnt good at all and the one I want to send them is much better, what do you think?

oh and then do you think they would care if i called anyway or sent them a letter asking how i can get in touch with an admissions rep? i really just want to talk to someone and get some more info.

I would ask your guidance counselor. Some schools don't mind but some do. Don't know about BC.
