wake forest, holy cross, villanova

these are my top three schools in my opinion
i also got accepted to loyola in maryland 15,000
gettysburg 10,000
skidmore
bentley
binghamton

can anyone tell me what the best school on the list is and where i should go? i really like holy cross and i think i am leaning towards it. can anyone tell me if i am making a good choice. is it as good as nova or wake? THANKKKKSSSSSS

Depends what you want to do, where you live and how far you want to go, and what kind of campus you want. All 3 are excellent schools. Holy Cross is cold in the winter, being on the side/top of a big hill in Worcester, be sure you're prepared for that.

I am biased as I went to Holy Cross and was very happy with my choice. It enabled me to go on to an MBA at Michigan and a very prosperous career with Microsoft. That said, all three schools are outstanding and you cannot go wrong with any one of the three. Holy Cross is the smallest of the three.

thank you i appreciate it i think im an leaning towards holy cross

Holy Cross and Wake would be about even academically, and both would be a cut above Villanova. Holy Cross is heavily NY/NJ/Massachusetts Catholics, while Wake is heavily Southern Protestants. There's a huge difference between those two groups. Which do you feel more comfortable around?

def the catholics from the new york/new jersey area however i am scared that i will not be able to do business at holy cross for all they have is economics/accounting. at wake you decide if u want to do business after 2 years which i like

I agree with TourGuide above about the comparable academic quality of the schools above, but would suggest that there are real differences in the student bodies and in the non-academic life of these three. In particular, Wake’s southern location attracts a student body that is roughly 24% from NC and about 2/3 from southern and mid-atlantic states while Holy Cross and Villanova are probably 75-80% or more from the northeast. I think his suggestion about understanding what you like and dislike about these student demographics should be an important consideration.

Perhaps the biggest difference lies in their athletic life. If you enjoy major Division I sports (and your interest extends beyond men’s basketball where Villanova has a very attractive scene and also there is a good, though less nationally competitive, scene at Holy Cross), then Wake Forest is the runaway winner. Their football team is presently very competitive in the ACC (two bowl appearances the last two years including the Orange Bowl) and their men’s soccer team is the current national champion. Also, their men’s basketball is certainly as good as what the others offer and has great rivalries with nearby Duke, U North Carolina and NC State.

I would personally choose Wake....the social scene is better, and they actually have a business program (and a well known one at that!).

thank you for your help.....can more people help me out it would be greatly appreciated thanks alot.

can anyone else offer his or her input. it would be greatly appreciated.

i appreciate it guys......anyone else wanna reply??????

I'd choose Wake for some of the same reasons mentioned. It doesn't strike me as particularly southern though. When I visited seems I met people from just about everywhere. a lot were from the East and Midwest. I also think they have a great business school if you can get into it.
