Wake Forest Interview

I recently requested an interview I heard was important to be seriously considered at WFU. But I got this response. So now I'm just confused. If you request an interview, it doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get one? (I requested a Skype interview since I live abroad).

Dear ____,

We thank you for your request for a personal admissions interview with
Wake Forest University. We look forward to reading your application
materials. As a part of that review we may need additional
information from you. Should we need more information, we will
contact you to arrange a time for a personal interview using Skype.

Thank you for your interest in Wake Forest University.

Sincerely,

That’s odd. When I requested a Skype interview, I got an email back with the scheduled time and date. Perhaps they have an influx of interview requests and are only going to interview people based on certain credentials from here on out. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the subject will be able to weigh in. Post this question to the Wake Forest board and see if anyone there has any info.

Call the admissions office and explain your situation. They’re nice people, they won’t mind.
