How can I get added to the GroupMe message?
i think there’s a facebook link for the students, back a few pages UGG. WestchesterMom is adding parents to a group chat. We’re talking about meeting up on the 4/12 weekend, etc…
My son and I will be attending that weekend as well. He is on the FB page and a group chat. I, however, would like to somehow be added to or join the parents chat. Thanks!

Go to Instagram and look for Wake Forest Class of 2023. Someone above said to DM that acct and someone will ask for your # then add you to Groupme. My daughter has many new followers on insta recently so I bet many of our kids are following each other. That’s funny, right?
My d is going this week to Wake. She said kids she has been speaking to want to meet each other, so join Facebook or Instagram or Groupme asap. I know my d would love to meet her new classmates.

@jm6844 is correct that I have no control over the GroupMe. I assume that’s a student-managed thing. For those who will be down at Wake for the 4/12 event, I am keeping track of those who might want to get together casually. Right now, I think it’s my family, @jm6844 and family and @GnocchiB and son. We are eyeing breakfast/brunch on Saturday morning.
Hello everyone. My child was accept to WFU and we live in Winston Salem. You need to know where the good coffee is. Coffee Park is a place in an air stream trailer on Reynolda Road, check it out. Soon there will be a legit bakery right next to it. Also there is a bike shop there, which is helpful to know. Twin City Hive and Camino Bakery are also good coffee options as well as Howdy Buckaroos (follow the IG page to find out hours, it is pop up but the best in town). We have fun food trucks Dough Joes Donuts (opening a physical store in Reynolda Village), Pacific Rim, and Burger Supreme Burger. Trade Street downtown is the best place to go to souvenirs and local shopping. There is Black Mountain Chocloate (across from Mary’s diner), Sweet Potatoes. Mast General Store is a fun hang out. Mooneys is a great quick eat local Mediterranean food. Penny Path Crepe Shop and Silo are great quicker eats in Reynolda Village. There is not reason (except for buying dorm stuff) to spend money at big box stores in WS. We have have the most amazing local places to eat and shop. Look up IG called Voices of Winston Salem to find out about all the cool people that make up this town.

Kickstart said 3696 accepted out of 13200 applicants = 28%. I imagine the RD acceptance rate was significantly lower as they take a lot in RD and RD2
They admit 40% - 50% via ED (at least they have previously). RD is low 20% - 25% typically.

Did anyone’s student manage to get added to the GroupMe? My son is not on Facebook, nor is he on Instagram, so I’m hoping to get him added some other way. If anyone has a child in the group, can I DM you my son’s cell phone number and get him added? Thanks in advance…
My financial aid letter just appeared on Informed Delivery, so I would suspect that most people should receive letters from financial aid today or tomorrow

@WestchesterMommy my D has not yet been added to GroupMe. She is on the Facebook and Instagram WF 2023 accounts and has been making many connections already and is very happy. She’s not even sure how to get added to the GroupMe
@WestchesterMommy My daughter has been waiting for several days to be added to no avail to the GroupDM via instagram. We leave tomorrow from Florida for accepted students day. I hope she gets added beforehand so she can meet with up some fellow students during our time at Wake. @UGG2023
