Wake Forest supplement

the question or statement, more or less is --> I wish I knew...

are they asking for some skill you wish you were equipped with? Or are they asking some random fact you'd like to know..not sure what they want!

I believe it could be either of those things. Colleges that use these very open-ended short answer questions are just looking for some creativity and to learn more about you. Don’t over think it. Just think about something you wish you knew and go for it.

thanks for the feedback!

I will tell you a funny story. My son is a very happy sophomore at Wake. When he was doing the supplement - we sat together and brainstormed answers to all of these unusual short answer questions - it took about 2-3 hours to do the supplement - but it was kind of fun. The last question was something about what you have recently learned. Just as we were discussing what to use for that one - the common app gave him an error message that he had been “idle” too long and kicked him off the site - he lost the entire supplement!

We were able to re-create it in about 1 hour - it was not very fun the second time around. For the final question - he wrote about the importance of saving your work periodically and detailed what had happened. I guess they liked his answers as he was admitted!

ha oh no! It still worked out for him, thank goodness.
I fortunately am able to use google docs, which saves my work automatically…this program is a must have for common app write ups.

I am working on the Wake Forest supplement right now… This supplement is definitely the hardest one I have done so far with all its odd short answer questions. Each one has taken so long with the research and thought I have been putting behind them. And I have had to save them in word documents because the commonapp site keeps saying I am idle and deleting my work too!

I’m working on the supplement right now too.

I’m stuck on what idea most challenges you?

… I don’t even get the question.
